Dementia

Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. Dementia or memory/ cognition related disabilities impact a person's functioning through an inability to organise themselves, remember appointments or special events or how to cook their favourite recipes. Dementia often has a profound impact on family members and loved ones with role dynamics shifting to accomodate a functional deterioration.
