Kaitlin is passionate about mental health and advocacy, so a mental health OT was the perfect role for her. Kaitlin challenges herself to think big, challenge assumptions and strive for great outcomes.
Kaitlin has experience supporting clients with severe and persistent mental illness in the community in a case management role and also specific experience supporting clients who may experience psychosis as part of their mental health journey. Kaitlin has in depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and primary health care pathways.
Kaitlin also has specific skills and interest in supporting adults with ASD to reach their functional goals. In her clinical practice, Kaitlin works with a trauma informed approach and incorporates sensory modulation and functional approaches to support people engage in everyday tasks such as shopping, maintaining housing, art, parenting and relationships.
Kaitlin’s ingenuity also extends beyond her clinical work -she has taken a lead role in managing Be Well OTs fundraising projects to support the broader mental health community. Outside of work, she prioritises exercise and moving her body; you’ll see her at fun runs, marathons and fitness challenges.
